Price Guide & Policies

Acceptable Payment Methods

Acceptable payment methods are Venmo, Zelle, Cash or Checks made out to “Sevana UGC”

Birthday Parties Only

Guests will be painted with full face, cheek or headband designs of their choice.

$150 for one hour | $250 for two hours

A rate of $100 for the 3rd or 4th hour booked

  • An average of 10-12 guests will be painted per hour. Please be considerate of the time you book per requests. If you’re unsure how long to book, I am happy to advise you!

  • A $35 deposit will be charged to reserve your date and will be applied as a credit towards the hourly rate. Your date will not be booked until payment is received. Please let me know your preferred payment method (Venmo or Zelle)

  • A 48 hour rescheduling/cancellation notice is required to change the date of the event. Party dates that are changed/cancelled without 48 hour notice will not be refunded the $35 deposit.

  • Full quoted payment must be made at the time of arrival. Any additional time at the end of the event will be calculated and requoted at the conclusion. Tipping is not expected, but always appreciated!

Large Events - Group Rate

(Themed Festivals, Corporate Events, Etc)

$150 per hour - 3 hour minimum booking

An average of 50 - 100 persons per hour will be painted.

  • Each person will be given the option between a full-face design, small cheek design, headband design, or arm design of their choice. Design menu can be customized for themed events. Themed events shall be agreed on prior to menu creation.

  • A $50 deposit will be charged to reserve the date and will be applied as a credit towards the hourly rate. Your date will not be booked until payment is received.

  • A 48 hour rescheduling/cancellation notice is required to change the date to another available date/time or cancel the event. Event dates that are changed/cancelled without 48 hour notice will not be refunded the $50 deposit.

  • A tip jar will be set out for public events unless otherwise requested. Tip jars will not be set out for private picnics or corporate events.

“Pay Per Person” Events – Group Rate 

This pricing option is available for any venue who wants their patrons to pay directly; face painted patrons will be charged per person at the time that they are painted.  

The venue will not pay an hourly rate unless the event is cancelled without notice.  

$10 for small cheek designs 

$15 for medium cheek/headband design 

$20 for full face designs 

$8 for glitter tattoos 

  • An average of 30-50 persons per hour will be painted.

  • A tip jar will be set out for events.   

Setup Guide for All Events

  • We will provide all necessary equipment to setup, paint and dispose of our trash.

  • For small private events, the artist needs at least a 5’ x 5’ area. Larger events may require multiple artists, equipment and a minimum of 10’ x 10’ area.  

  • FOR OUTDOOR EVENTS: Space provided must be shaded, or our face-paint will melt, and we are unable to paint. If a tent is required and you are unable to provide one, please let us know in advance. (Extra setup charge may apply) 

Breaks

Artist will have paid breaks of 5-10 minutes every two hours and access to a restroom. 

Extreme Adverse Working Conditions 

  • Artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extreme adverse working conditions and the client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the client’s attention.

  • Adverse conditions include but not limited to: destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a child, pet or adult illegal activities; or otherwise dangerous conditions.  

Overtime

  • Any time beyond the time booked will cost $100 per hour, or $50 per half hour, per artist, with a full half hour charge being due for each 1-30 minutes of overtime.

  • Only booked times with deposits are guaranteed, additional time on day of event may not be available, although Artist will attempt to accommodate requests for additional paid time.  

Travel / Setup / Other Fees

  • Travel fees apply when the event is more than 35 minutes from Simi Valley, CA. Generally, $30 per artist, per hour increment. Depending on your event, there may be a charge for outdoor, lengthy or difficult setup usually $50, but please call for a quote.

  • Parking fees must be paid to Artist.  

  • Should a check be returned, there is a $40 returned check fee.  

General Policies

  • Sevana Paints is fully insured under Beauty and Bodyworks Insurance covering commercial general liability, occurrence and professional liability. 

  • Face paint products used have been designed for professional use and comply with all FDA cosmetic regulations. As with any cosmetics, some people may develop sensitivity to one of the ingredients. May children are allergic to a wide range of common products. We are not responsible for any such reactions. 

  • If you have any concerns regarding a reaction to face paints, please discuss with the artist BEFORE the client is painted. As for a patch test 30 minutes in advance, or we will paint a small motif on the hand.  

  • If the painted client has very sensitive skin or is ALLERGIC to COCONUT OIL or RED DYE, please inform the artist. 

  • We will not paint anyone who, in the opinion of the Artist, appears to be suffering from: cold sores, conjunctivitis, any infections skin complaint, open wounds or similar. We will not paint children under 2 years of age or that are under duress.  

  • Artist will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The Client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests, and/or damage to Artist’s equipment or supplies caused by pets, lawn sprinklers, or guest.  

  • Under no circumstances will Artist supervise children. Children behavior and safety are the Client’s and/or Parents’ responsibility. 

  • To REMOVE face paint: gently massage a no-tears baby shampoo or gentle soap onto the design and blot away with a wet wash cloth. Cosmetic makeup wipes may also be used to remove paint designs. If paint remains on the skin after being washed, use lotion or coconut oil to gently remove.  Please refer to How to Remove for detailed instructions

  • CLOTHING that has been in contact with face paint should be COLD soaked overnight with an oxygen activated stain remover before washing normally.  

This contract does not go into effect until the deposit is received to secure your date; all dates and times are agreed upon by both parties. Full/final payment must be received upon our arrival to paint.
